Retro Sweets pays for candy that touches

Candy symbols fill a 6x9 grid with a neon and sweets look, and wins form when matching candies touch each other. Five or more of the same candy that touch form a cluster and pay. The winning candies then clear away, the rest drop down, and new candies fill the gaps, so one spin can chain several wins. That cascade, called Tumble in the game, repeats until no new cluster forms.

Three or more Wild Candy Symbols that land anywhere on the grid open the Free Spins round. Retro Sweets stacks Sticky Wild, Magnetic Symbol, Multiplier, Wild Multiplier and Retrigger on top of its cluster base. Together these features make up the bonus side of the game, which the base cluster spins lead toward.

From one spin to a chain of wins

Read this before your first spin, when you want to know what each step does.

  1. What does the Push Bet cost?

The reels stay still until you set a Base Bet between A$0.10 and A$100. A Push Bet toggle doubles the total stake, but wins still pay on the Base Bet alone.

  2. When five candies touch

Five or more matching candies that touch on the 6x9 grid form a win, then cascade and collapse. New candies drop in, so one spin can chain several wins.

  3. Wild Candy Symbols on the grid

In the base game, Wild Candy Symbols can land on any cell of the 6x9 grid. Wild Multiplier Symbols are part of the Super Free Spins Feature.

  4. Land three Wild Candy Symbols

Three Wild Candy Symbols landing anywhere start the Normal Free Spins Feature with 6 free spins. Four give 8, five give 10, and six give 12.

  5. Stop once you reach it

The reels cannot show how a session will end, so set your limit before the first spin and stop once you reach it.

What do three Wild Candy give?

Base spins can start this mode on their own. When 3+ Wild Candy Symbols land anywhere on the grid, the feature starts with 6/8/10/12 Free Spins for 3/4/5/6 symbols. The mode runs at a 96.30% RTP.

Check the 400x cost first

Buying this mode costs 400x Base Bet. Once it runs, you get a chance to land up to 6 Wild Candy Symbols, and one random-value Wild Multiplier Symbol is guaranteed to convert. This feature carries a 96.25% RTP.

Do five matching symbols win?

Every spin plays on a 6 columns x 9 rows Cluster Link grid. Five or more adjacent symbols of the same kind win, then cascade and collapse. This mode has a 96.49% RTP with no Push Bet, and wins are capped at 10,000x Base Bet.

From luck to one Wild Candy

Switching on this Push Bet raises your Total Bet by +100% of Base Bet (2x). Every base spin then guarantees 1 Wild Candy Symbol. Wins are still worked out on Base Bet, not on the higher Total Bet, and the RTP is 96.05%.

Retro Sweets results can't be promised

On the reels, Wild Candy Symbols land at random, so how often the bonus round arrives is not known before you play. The Free Spins start only after three or more of them land anywhere on the grid, and no spin tells you when that will happen. Each session ends on a random result, whatever the RTP printed in the rules.

The 6x9 grid turns over on every spin, but the RTP version this site runs is shown only in the game rules. Read the rules before you play, because the same title can run a different RTP on another site.

Clusters of five or more matching candies cascade, and a long run of tumbles can climb toward the cap of 10,000x the Base Bet. That ceiling is reached very rarely, and at the highest bet of A$100 the cap works out to A$1,000,000.

Player questions

Retro Sweets key facts in short

After this page you will know the volatility, bets, free spins and RTP before you play.

Is Retro Sweets a high volatility slot?

On the 6x9 grid, Retro Sweets pays for clusters of five or more matching candies that touch. Its high volatility means results swing harder than in lower volatility games, and no one can tell in advance how a session will run.

What bets can I place on Retro Sweets?

Each spin on Retro Sweets can be set from A$0.10 up to A$100. Wins are a multiple of the base bet, so a bigger bet means bigger money wins.

How do I trigger free spins on Retro Sweets?

Three or more Wild Candy Symbols that land anywhere on the grid start the free spins. Three symbols give 6 free spins, four give 8, five give 10 and six give 12.

What is the max win on Retro Sweets?

Wins on the 6x9 grid stop at 10,000 times the base bet. A bet of A$2 pays up to A$20,000, and the A$100 maximum bet reaches A$1,000,000.

How does Retro Sweets differ from RetroVerse and Retro Tapes?

Retro Sweets and the other titles in its series each keep their own RTP. Retro Sweets returns 96.49% in the base game, Retro Tapes 96.47% and RetroVerse 96.24%. All three carry the same 10,000 times win cap.

What is the RTP of Retro Sweets and its versions?

Over a very large number of spins, the base game returns 96.49% of the money staked, and a single session can end well above or below that. Push Bet versions return 96.05% and 96.31%, and the free spin features return 96.30% and 96.25%.
